Guidelines
These guidelines should help you prepare for a pleasant stay:
(These guidelines are the same as those that would be recommended for all rainforest areas of eastern Australia)
Arborlee is a rocky rainforest habitat with some rough old logging tracks. The visitor walks and explores this natural setting at their own risk.
Do not walk off the main road or driveway if you aren’t very confident in the bush.
Discuss walks with your host and remember that a 1hour 30 min introduction to the place and walk are provided at no extra cost. It is especially important to learn to identify the stinging tree. Read information and speak to your host about this.
- Be prepared to wear long pants and closed in shoes.
- Sun-cream and a hat are advised.
- Bring a drinking bottle to take water on walks.
- Bring your insect cream as this may help prevent tick bites.
Please advise ahead of your visit if you have food allergies that we need to know about.
Parking
Arborlee has a very steep drive and 2 wheel drive cars must park at the parking bay at the top of the drive. The host will assist with pick up. Some two-wheel drive cars have had to be towed back up our drive. You may need to pay for a professional tow.
Fire
In the case of fire threatening the bushland around Arborlee neighbour the visitor will be advised to leave and will receive a refund for uncompleted holiday.
